MiitWell is an adventure short in time but long in meaning and I’m glad you’re along for the ride.
So much is made these days about us “looking down”, focused only on our screens, and how this is making us less social as a collective. There is both truth and fallacy in that, but there is no denying that too often we in the “first world” allow technology to consume us.
MiitWell is technology designed to enable better human-to-human connections, to get you near someone interesting (or get someone near who finds you interesting). Once that happens, do what humans do: communicate face-to-face.
For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen. Speech has allowed the communication of ideas, enabling human beings to work together to build the impossible. Mankind’s greatest achievements have come about by talking, and its greatest failures by not talking. It doesn’t have to be like this. Our greatest hopes could become reality in the future. With the technology at our disposal, the possibilities are unbounded. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking.
It’s my genuine hope that you will both use and stop using MiitWell. Let the technology do what it does best, organize and identify. Then, when you’ve encountered an interesting potential colleague or they come up and introduce themselves to you, put the device away.
